Bridging Now to Next: Our Journey Toward Reconciliation(2)

National Reconciliation Week 2025

Theme: Bridging Now to Next
Date: 27 May – 3 June 2025

This year’s National Reconciliation Week theme, Bridging Now to Next, invites us to reflect on the lessons of the past as we move forward with purpose. Inspired by the 2025 theme artwork by Kalkadoon woman Bree Buttenshaw — featuring native plants that symbolise resilience and renewal — it is a powerful reminder of our shared strength and the importance of growing together.

Our RAP Commitment

As part of the Wilson Group, we’re proud to be delivering on the commitments outlined in our second Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan, reaffirming our commitment to reconciliation.

Our RAP outlines clear actions to:

  • Support employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Increase procurement and professional relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses
  • Maintain an inclusive and culturally safe workplace
  • Build cultural competency through continuous learning

We continue to embed reconciliation into our workplace through recent initiatives such as:

  • Partnership with The Torch, showcasing artwork from Indigenous artists in our car parks and offices
  • Distribution of the Indigenous Literacy Foundations Lending Library in each of our offices, featuring First Nations authors and storytellers
  • Acknowledgement Plaques recognising the land on which are car parks are located,  and showcasing our RAP Artwork

These initiatives are part of our broader effort to create culturally safe, inclusive spaces and to support the economic and social empowerment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
