Subsidised, touch-free parking for Health Care Workers

Wilson Parking’s Business Accounts App feature provides subsidised, contact-free parking for Health Care Workers

St Vincent’s Hospital on The Park (SVHOP) focuses on providing the best patient care and delivering the best patient outcomes by living out values of compassion, justice, integrity and excellence.

SVHOP were faced with a parking challenge when opening their new palliative care and rehabilitation facility in August 2020, located at 11 Cathedral Place, East Melbourne. They engaged Wilson Parking with a need for a contact-free parking solution for their staff that could be quickly administered.

The required fast-paced solution was made available through Wilson Parking’s Business Accounts feature. This allows for a streamlined account set up with no parking cards required. Users are onboarded by either the company or Wilson Parking – they then simply download the Wilson Parking App and log in with the details provided by their account administrator.

“We’re proud to have partnered with SVHOP during the pandemic last year, we provided a free period out of good faith and have continued to provide discounted, contact-free parking in support of their hospital staff.” Simon Pearce, Wilson Parking State Manager, Victoria

SVHOP has a large cohort of staff frequenting their workplace on both Day and Night Shifts. These differing start and finish times were catered to all through the Business Accounts App feature.

Kirsten Rodger, General Manager Residential Aged Care, Palliative Care and Correctional Health Services comments, “Providing our staff with ongoing affordable, contact-free parking that’s located so close to our workplace is a great employee benefit. Last year we were faced with a tight timeline for required parking and Wilson Parking delivered the option quickly and effectively. We have staff signing up to take advantage of the new improved way to park every week. We appreciate Wilson Parking supporting us through the pandemic and beyond.”

To make sure staff were aware of the offer Wilson Parking launched a marketing campaign using a ‘Digital Flyer’ to highlight the promotional pricing and ‘Sign Up Instructions’ cascaded to all SVHOP staff. The flyer was also placed on-site in key meeting areas, helping to raise awareness of the promotional offer and improved way to access contact-free parking.

Overall, the marketing campaign and uptake has been very successful. There have been more than 200 users onboarded and over 2500 parking visits since the inception of the account in late August.

In conclusion, Wilson Parking will continue to work closely with our partner SVHOP into the future to ensure their staff are able to park close to their place of work and commute in a contactless and affordable manner.
